Get MaDD for Due Process

Immigrant families are being torn apart every day by a system that refuses to follow its own rules. People are detained without cause, denied medical care, and stripped of their rights. We fight back.

Jemmy’s Story

The Moment Everything Changed

A woman and a man smiling and posing closely together in a dimly lit setting with a brick wall background.

In early 2025, Jemmy, a lawful permanent resident, mother of four, and community member of 30+ years, arrived at Boston Logan Airport after a family vacation.

She never made it home.

CBP officers detained her without explanation. They held her for 10 days without charges, without access to her family, and without the medical care she needed for serious health conditions. She collapsed twice and was hospitalized twice, from neglect, not illness.

Her “crime”?

A minor marijuana charge from her twenties, long decriminalized in Massachusetts.

Jemmy’s story exposed something bigger, a system that disregards rights, ignores medical conditions, and hides behind silence.

The Crisis Is Real

The United States is removing people at the highest rate in nearly a decade. Many of them have lived here for years. Many have children. Many have no criminal record at all.

Medical neglect is common and often dangerous!

This isn’t how justice works.
This isn’t due process.
…And it’s happening right now in our airports, our neighborhoods, and our detention centers.

“These are not abstract policy debates. These are students, parents, and workers who vanish from their lives overnight.” – Todd Pomerleau, Partner and Chair of Impact Litigation at Rubin Pomerleau PC Supreme Court Winning Immigration Lawyers Defending Your American Dream ℠

Immigration enforcement has escalated. People are being detained or deported without fair hearings, without legal representation, and in some cases, in direct violation of court orders. Families are blindsided. Students are removed from airports. Workers disappear from their jobs.

These cases don’t make headlines unless someone brings them forward.

Any Lucia. Every Dreamer. One Future.

A 19-year-old college student was deported despite a federal judge’s order. Her story shows why Dreamers need protection and why the DREAM Act matters now.

Without protections, Dreamers who make up nearly one-fifth of the nearly 2.5 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S. face sudden removal, family separation, and threats to their future.

Mass Deportation Defense legal clinic is fighting for her return and defending Dreamers nationwide.

Why Your Donation Matters

Families do not find out what is happening in a calm phone call. They find out when their loved one disappears into detention. One wrongful deportation can shatter a family permanently. One missed filing can remove someone from the country forever. Your support helps us fight back.” – Attorney Todd Pomerleau

“Most of the people I represent are not asking for special treatment. They are asking for the process that the law already promises them.”
